Does the Nexgrill Griddle Come with a Cover?
Nexgrill doesn’t sell their griddles with storage tops. However, you can buy a hardtop lid designed to fit the dimensions of the 36″ x 20.5″ cast iron plate. In fact, the Blackstone powder-coated aluminum lid fits perfectly with the dimensions 37.5″ wide x 23.5″ deep. (This is not designed to be a griddle hood for cooking, but for storage only.)
They also sell a protective PVC cover separately for about $30. This tent-style cover prevents water from getting on the grill, plus it provides optimal air flow during storage.
Griddle Seasoning Instructions:
Note: The Nexgrill arrives pre-seasoned to prevent corrosion during shipping. However, you want to season the griddle surface prior to cooking and continue this procedure to prevent rust and maintain the non-stick surface.
Step 1: Wash with hot soapy water prior to first-time cooking. Then, dry completely.
Step 2: Scrape away any food residue with a metal scraper or spatula. If necessary, pour hot water to loosen extra sticky food and/or apply salt as a scrub.
Step 3: Apply plenty of cooking oil (ie vegetable, olive, etc..) to a hot griddle surface. Then, spread the oil over the entire surface with a paper towel and coat the inner sides as well.
Step 4: Allow the oil to burn off. Then, turn off the heat and let the cast iron cool before storing.

NexGrill 2-Burner Griddle:
Alternatively, you can get the smaller model of this griddle with 1 side table and 514 square inches of cooking space.
The 2-burner version has virtually the identical features, but just in a more compact size. So, if you don’t need a giant griddle plate and want to save some money, here’s your chance!
To give you an idea of size, you can cook about 10 hamburgers at once (and buns). Therefore, you may find that this 2-burner size may be all you need.
